An image that appeared to show President Donald Trump has been removed from the Department of Justice’s online “Epstein Library,” raising questions about transparency around the released files.
The image, previously listed as file EFTA00000468, showed a desk with framed photographs and an open drawer containing additional pictures. One of the photos appeared to include Trump alongside Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell and others. It was among the few items in the released documents that referenced Trump.

This screenshot shows a gap between images 467 and 469 on the DOJ’s website seen on Saturday.

As of Saturday afternoon, the DOJ website shows a gap where the image once appeared, jumping directly from file EFTA00000467 to EFTA00000469. No explanation has been provided for the removal. CNN has contacted both the Department of Justice and the White House for comment.
Trump has not been charged with or accused of any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein.
Democratic lawmakers quickly seized on the apparent deletion. House Oversight Committee Democrats questioned Attorney General Pam Bondi on social media, asking what else may be “covered up” and calling for full transparency. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer also raised concerns, suggesting the removal could point to broader efforts to conceal information.
The reason for the image’s removal remains unclear.
