A portrait of former U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi was reportedly found in a trash can at the Department of Justice just one day after her dismissal by President Donald Trump.
Images circulating online showed the framed portrait placed upside down inside a bin, shortly after it had been removed from a wall where it hung alongside official portraits of senior leadership.
The incident quickly gained attention as a symbolic reflection of the abrupt nature of her removal.
Bondi was fired amid mounting criticism over her tenure, including handling of high-profile cases and dissatisfaction within the administration.
