Former Chelsea striker Álvaro Morata has confirmed that his marriage to Italian influencer Alice Campello has ended after attempts to reconcile failed.
Morata, 33, and Campello, 30, initially separated following Spain’s Euro 2024 triumph. In August of that year, they announced they were parting ways after seven years of marriage. The couple briefly reunited in January but have since split again and are reportedly living separately in Milan.
Speaking to Spanish media personality Alexia Rivas on the program Fiesta, the striker stated that although there is still love between them, they struggle to understand each other.
“We are suffering because we are two people who love each other, but we don’t understand each other,” Morata said, adding that both of them are equally affected by the separation.
Spanish magazine Hola recently reported that Morata had moved out of the family home he shared with Campello and their four children: twins Alessandro and Leonardo, Edoardo, and Bella. Despite the split, the pair are said to be maintaining a respectful relationship for the sake of their children.
Morata also addressed rumors circulating in Spain alleging an affair with sports management professional Elena Sirigu. He firmly denied the claims, stating there is no third party involved and criticizing those spreading such allegations, particularly given the presence of children in the situation.
