Sean “Diddy” Combs was reportedly involved in a physical altercation with another inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix in New Jersey, according to multiple media reports.
The alleged incident is said to have occurred earlier this week after another inmate reportedly made insulting remarks toward the music producer and entrepreneur. Reports claim the confrontation escalated into a brief fight, with both men allegedly exchanging pushes and punches before correctional officers intervened and separated them.
Following the incident, Combs was reportedly placed in solitary confinement. It remains unclear whether he is still being held in segregated housing, and prison authorities have not confirmed the reports.
If prison officials determine that Combs violated institutional rules, the incident could lead to disciplinary sanctions, which may affect certain prison privileges or any potential sentence reductions available for good behaviour.
Combs is currently expected to remain in federal custody until February 2028, subject to any applicable sentence credits.
Officials at FCI Fort Dix declined to comment on the reported altercation.
A spokesperson for the facility said prison authorities do not disclose internal information relating to individual inmates, adding that such matters are not made available to the public.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons also declined to discuss the reported incident, citing privacy, safety and security policies that prevent the agency from commenting on disciplinary matters involving prisoners.
Representatives for Combs have not publicly responded to the reports.
As of now, federal authorities have not officially confirmed that the altercation occurred, and no disciplinary findings against Combs have been announced.
