U.S VP, Mike Pence, in tweets, goes hard like never before, threatens Iran’s regime after 12 deaths are recorded in nationwide protests

US Vice President, Mike Pence, on Monday evening took aim at Iran’s leadership after reports emanating from the country’s media revealed Monday, that 12 people have died in nationwide protests. A situation Iran’s leader, Hassan Rouhani described as ‘nothing’ in an address to the country’s parliament the same day.

Iranians have embarked on nationwide protests, since Friday, protesting against the massive unemployment and high poverty level in the country, as most Iranians felt the Nuclear deal Iran signed with the Obama administration and UN Security Council, where economic and trade sanctions were lifted off in exchange for Iran dropping their nuclear ambitions, will enormously improve their economy and create jobs for the populace.

The violent protests across Iran has left 12 people dead in the biggest challenge to the authority of the Tehran regime since mass demonstrations in 2009 with the Iranian government reportedly shutting down the country’s internet and blocking social media apps like Instagram and Telegram to prevent the outside world from seeing the protests.
In some videos shared on social media Iranians can be seen chanting “We don’t want an Islamic Republic” and “Death to the dictator.” while a woman was seen waving her hijab.

Tweeting, Pence wrote; ‘As long as @RealDonaldTrump is POTUS and I am VP, the United States of America will not repeat the shameful mistake of our past when others stood by and ignored the heroic resistance of the Iranian people as they fought against their brutal regime… (1/2)
(2/2)…The bold and growing resistance of the Iranian people today gives hope and faith to all who struggle for freedom and against tyranny. We must not and we will not let them down. #IranProtests’

US president, Donald Trump, throughout the weekend criticized the Iranian regime, and even on Monday tweeted that the Iranians have been suffering for many years because of the country’s corruption used to sponsor terrorism, now Mike Pence, the US Vice President has added his voice to the growing international concerns over the crisis in Iran.
