Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are officially heading down the aisle, sealing their nine-year romance with a dazzling diamond ring.
Georgina, 31, announced the news on Instagram, posting a photo of her hand resting on Ronaldo’s — the massive diamond on her finger impossible to miss. She captioned it: “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.”
The post exploded online, racking up over a million likes in just 40 minutes as fans worldwide sent their congratulations. Jewellery experts estimate the ring to be worth over $1 million, with a stone likely between 10 and 15 carats.
Ronaldo, 40, first met Georgina in Madrid while she was working at a Gucci store. A chance conversation led to a second meeting at a fashion event, sparking a relationship that has since grown into a life together. They made their first public appearance at the Best FIFA Football Awards in 2017 and have since built a family and home together.
Now, nearly a decade after that first meeting, the football icon and his longtime partner are ready to say “I do.”
