A man has died and a woman has been left critically injured following a crash during a police pursuit near Stratford-upon-Avon. Warwickshire Police said officers attempted to stop a black Audi on Birmingham Road shortly before 17:30 on Monday, but the driver failed to pull over. The Audi then headed towards the A46 before travelling back towards Stratford along the A439 Warwick Road. Counter Terrorism Policing North West said Hekmat Omar Ali Hakim, of St James Road in Higher Broughton, Salford, has been charged with failing to disclose information regarding terrorist activity. Jason Arday, the former University of Cambridge professor who recently resigned amid allegations of plagiarism, has died aged 41.
