A former Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke, has said he will contest for presidency in the 2019 election.

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, yesterday paid a visit to the family of his late wife, Stella Obasanjo, at Iruekpen, Edo state. The former president was received by the former first lady’s parents, her father, Christopher Abebe who is almost 100years and her mother, Theresa who is almost 90 and other family members. The former first lady got married to Obasanjo in 1976. They have a son together, Muyiwa. She died on October 23rd 2005 in Malaga, Spain from complications from a tummy tuck surgery.

Donald Trump’s hotel in downtown Washington DC had expletives like “Shithole” projected on an outer wall following the US President’s racist comments referring to Africa and Haiti as “Shithole countries” Video footage posted on Twitter shows the word “S***HOLE” and poop emojis projected on the wall of Trump Hotel. An arrow, also apparently projected on the building, points to the arched doorway.

A plane carrying 162 passengers and 6 crew was involved a minor accident on Saturday when it overran the runway at Trabzon, and coming to stop next to the black sea in Turkey. According to the Aviation Herald, the Pegasus Boeing 737-800, registration TC-CPF performing flight PC-8622 from Ankara to Trabzon (Turkey) with 162 passengers and 6 crew, landed on Trabzon’s runway but veered left off the runway, went down a slope and came to a stop on soft ground just short of the sea about 60 meters before the runway end.

People have gone on Yelp, a site that publishes crowd-sourced reviews about businesses, to strike at Donald Trump over his description of African nations, Haiti, and El Salvador as “shithole countries”. Trump hotels across the country are being targeted by Yelp users leaving one–star reviews and describing the facilities as shitholes. The effort caused the luxury Trump International Hotel in Washington, DC, to temporarily drop to a two–star rating, down from its average of four or five stars.

President Buhari on Sunday night met with Senate President, Sen. Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara at the Aso Villa to discuss the security situation in Benue State and other parts of the country.
