The mukbang trend originated in South Korea and involves consuming large quantities of seafood, corn on the cob, potatoes, and vegetables.
These so-called food influencers have amassed thousands of followers, and their videos have garnered millions of views. However, it’s worth noting that all of these videos are entirely AI-generated.
One such video of a woman eating mukbang garnered thousands of views on TikTok and X (Twitter). Surprisingly, viewers discovered that the woman in the video doesn’t exist.
