Will Smith is facing a sexual harassment lawsuit filed in Los Angeles just before the New Year by professional violinist and former America’s Got Talent finalist Brian King Joseph, according to Fox News. The complaint accuses the actor and musician of grooming and harassing Joseph during Smith’s 2025 music tour.
Court filings state the two first connected after a December 2024 performance, with the relationship later extending into Smith’s “Based on a True Story: 2025 Tour.” Joseph claims the interactions became increasingly personal, alleging Smith told him they shared a “special connection.”
Joseph further alleges that while on tour in Las Vegas, he returned to his hotel room to find signs of unlawful entry, including a handwritten note addressed to him and medical-related items belonging to someone else. He says the incident left him distressed and fearful, leading him to report it to hotel security and authorities.
According to the lawsuit, Joseph claims he was later accused of fabricating the incident and was removed from the tour. Another violinist was allegedly hired to replace him shortly afterward.
The suit accuses Smith of grooming, intentional infliction of emotional distress, reputational harm, and financial loss. Joseph is seeking damages for the impact he says the ordeal had on his mental health and career.
Representatives for Will Smith have not publicly responded to the allegations. All claims remain unproven unless and until they are established in court.
