The highly anticipated annual celebration of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s new Costume Institute exhibit, the Met Gala, has finally arrived. A-listers, designers, influencers, and more have gathered in the heart of New York City to witness this night of fashion extravagance.

This year’s exhibit theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” is inspired by scholar Monica Miller’s book, “Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.” The exhibit promises to be a memorable experience, marking the first time since 2003 that the Costume Institute has centered an exhibit solely on menswear. The dress code for tonight’s event is “Tailored for You,” which suggests a plethora of avant-garde takes on impeccably tailored suits and other hallmarks of menswear.

The evening’s co-chairs, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Pharrell Williams, are expected to grace the red carpet with jaw-dropping outfits. Honorary co-chair LeBron James, unfortunately, will be absent due to an injury.
