A pharmaceutical executive standing behind President Donald Trump in the Oval Office collapsed after suffering a “fainting spell.”
Trump held a press conference in the Oval Office on Thursday to discuss lowering the price of weight-loss drugs when the executive collapsed.
“Are you OK? Gordon, you OK?” asked Eli Lilly CEO David Ricks as the man began to collapse.
Trump looked on as the White House’s medical team assisted the stricken man on the floor of the Oval Office.
White House aides ushered reporters and photographers out of the Oval Office and cut live video feeds.
Trump had invited executives from pharmaceutical giants Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk to announce they would lower the prices of some popular weight-loss drugs.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt later said Gordon was a representative of one of the drug companies and was doing well after a fainting spell.
