Mass deportations commenced on Tuesday, January 21st, in ten American cities. President Donald Trump’s mass deportation initiative aims to target immigrants residing in the country illegally.

The cities included in the deportation list are Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Miami, Washington, D.C., Denver, Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas.

ICE agents commenced rounding up immigrants who illegally entered the country during the tenure of former President Joe Biden. Between January 2021 and January 2025, approximately 8 million immigrants entered the country.

Upon learning that Trump had banned the CBP One app, which facilitated legal entry into the United States, Mexicans waiting for appointments at the Customs Border Patrol office broke down in tears.President Trump signed an executive order related to the oil pipeline industry in the Oval Office on January 24.

The app went dark just minutes after Trump was sworn-in as the 47th President of the US on Monday.

Local police in sanctuary cities posted flyers warning illegals to “leave now” and “avoid deportation.”MediaPunch / BACKGRID

In New York City, Mayor Eric Adams, who attended Trump’s Inauguration in D.C. on Monday, said the NYPD will not assist ICE in rounding up illegals for deportation.

City laws prohibit the NYPD and other city agencies from cooperating with federal agents.

Pope Francis called Trump’s plans to deport millions of immigrants a “disgrace.” The Pope said Trump is “not Christian” for wanting to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexican border.

Pope Francis sent Trump a message on Monday that he’s praying God “will grant you wisdom, strength and protection in the exercise of your high duties.”
