Manchester United have completed the signing of Belgian international midfielder Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa in a deal worth £36 million, strengthening their midfield ahead of the new Premier League season.
The 29-year-old has signed a five-year contract at Old Trafford, becoming United’s second midfield addition of the summer following the arrival of Andrey Santos from Chelsea in a deal valued at £50 million.
The transfer marks another significant investment as Manchester United continue rebuilding their squad with the aim of challenging for major domestic and European honours.

Successful Spell at Aston Villa
Tielemans joined Aston Villa in 2023 after leaving Leicester City as a free agent.
During his time at Villa Park, he established himself as a key figure in midfield, making 134 appearances across all competitions.
He scored 10 goals and contributed numerous assists while helping Villa compete domestically and in European competition.
His performances consistently earned praise for his passing range, composure in possession and ability to dictate the tempo of matches.
Experienced Midfielder Adds Quality to United Squad

The Belgian international has enjoyed successful spells in England after previously starring for Leicester City, where he famously scored the winning goal in the 2021 FA Cup final.
