Operatives of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), have commenced investigation into the alleged trafficking of 67 children from the Northern part of the country by some persons in questionable circumstances. The children, whose ages range between 10 and 14, were intercepted in three different operations by men of the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian police at different locations around Nasarawa state.

Two officers of the Nigeria Customs Service who allegedly examined and cleared the ammunition-laden container at the Apapa port, Lagos State, have been declared wanted. The officers, Abdullahi I,and Odiba Haruna Inah, fled after the weapons were uncovered by the operatives of the Federal Operations Unit, Zone A, Ikeja.
