Former Arsenal star Thomas Partey Denies New Rape Charges in London Court

Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has pleaded not guilty to two additional rape charges during a hearing at Southwark Crown Court.

The 32-year-old is already facing trial after denying multiple allegations, including the rape of two women and the sexual assault of a third. The newly introduced charges relate to an alleged incident involving another woman in London in December 2020.

His defence lawyer, Jenny Wiltshire, stated that Partey continues to deny all accusations and has cooperated fully with police. No further comments will be made while legal proceedings remain ongoing.

Partey had previously been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police. He has entered not guilty pleas to all charges, which are linked to alleged incidents between 2021 and 2022.

Prosecutor Arabella MacDonald told the court that the latest complainant came forward after earlier allegations became public. The additional charges involve a fourth alleged victim.

Judge Ikram referred the new charges to the Crown Court, where Partey is due to stand trial in November.

The Ghana international joined Arsenal from Atlético Madrid in 2020 in a deal worth around £45 million and made 167 appearances for the club. He currently plays for Villarreal CF.
