Bill Gates has forcefully denied allegations contained in a draft email written by Jeffrey Epstein claiming Gates sought medication for an STD allegedly contracted from sex with “Russian girls.”
In a rare statement, a spokesperson for the Microsoft co-founder said the claims are “absolutely absurd and completely false,” adding that the documents instead show Epstein’s frustration over not having an ongoing relationship with Gates and his attempts to “entrap and defame.”
The assertions appeared in emails Epstein sent to himself on July 18, 2013. Those messages were among hundreds of thousands of files released by the US Department of Justice on Friday, January 30. The release also included previously unseen images of Epstein and Gates together at various locations.
Gates has long said he regrets his association with Epstein, who died in a New York City jail in 2019, and has consistently denied any wrongdoing. Over the years, Gates has sought to downplay the extent of their interactions, stating they did not have a business relationship or friendship and that any meetings occurred in group settings. He has also denied attending Epstein’s parties or visiting his residences.
