Sean Combs demands Cassie’s bank statements to prove she extorted him

Lawyers representing Sean Combs have requested Cassie Ventura’s financial records to ascertain whether she received financial assistance to dismantle his business empire in 2023.

As per new legal documents obtained by TMZ, Sean’s legal team issued a subpoena on March 19, demanding that Cassie provide bank statements and “all draft memoirs, autobiographies, narratives, diaries, journals, or notes… and any communications regarding plans to publish or threaten to publish such a document.”

The bank statements will shed light on whether Cassie deposited substantial amounts of money into her bank account in the preceding weeks or months before she filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against her former boyfriend in November 2023.

Prior to Cassie filing her lawsuit, her then-lawyer contacted Sean’s attorney on a recorded line. She revealed that she had a book ready for publication and offered to stop its release if Sean paid an undisclosed sum of money.

Sean declined to pay the money. Shortly after, Cassie switched law firms and retained attorney Douglas Wigdor in New York.

Wigdor informed Sean that the book had become irrelevant due to the imminent filing of a civil sex abuse lawsuit in November 2023.

Sean promptly settled the lawsuit the following day. However, it remains uncertain whether Cassie ever received the $30 million settlement she had demanded from him.

In September 2024, Sean was arrested in New York on RICO trafficking and conspiracy charges. He is currently awaiting trial on May 5.

Cassie is expected to testify against him in court.

In related news, a federal judge denied Sean’s request to delay the trial for two months.
