The ‘Fiji Water Girl’, who went viral after she photobombed most celebrities’ red carpet photos at the Golden Globes, has sued Fiji water for using her photo on cardboard cutouts without seeking her permission.
Kelleth Cuthbert enjoyed the fame she got at the Golden Globes and even got a TV role out of it. But she is suing Fiji for using a picture of her in a cardboard cutout campaign, placed at shops in the US, which she claims was launched without her permission.
Kelleth is claiming she never signed a deal allowing Fiji to use her image on the standees.
FIJI Water has since hit out at Kelleth, claiming her lawsuit is ‘entirely without merit’.
In a statement shared with Metro.co.uk, they said:
This lawsuit is frivolous and entirely without merit. After the Golden Globes social media moment, we negotiated a generous agreement with Ms. Cuthbert that she blatantly violated.
We are confident that we will prevail in Court. Throughout our history, we have had a sterling reputation working with talent.
