Terry Crews has taken to Twitter to slam comedian D.L Hughely for mocking him after he spoke out about suffering sexual assault. He also accused Russell Simmons, 50 Cent and Tariq Nasheed of trying to shame him for speaking out about the abuse he suffered.
In 2017, Crews claimed he was groped by Adam Venit – a longtime agent – at a party the year before. Sadly, his revelation was met with mockery as fellow men taunted him for not being able to ward off his abuser, even with all his muscles.
Then, comedian D.L Hughely, who Crews said he always looked up to, suggested last year in an interview with VLADTV that Terry Crews did not do enough to prevent his alleged sexual assault.
God gave you muscles so you could say no and mean it.
But social media users pointed out to Hughely that if Crews had physically fought off his alleged abuser, the story in the media would have been different and it won’t be in his favour.
Crews took to Twitter to blast Hughely for his statement during the interview. He also blasted 50 Cent, Russell Simmons, and Tariq Nasheed for how they reacted after he opened up about suffering sexual assault.
Russell and Tariq have replied to Crew’s accusations. Russell asked for forgiveness while Tariq tried to defend his actions but he was called out by social media users.
Below is a video of Hughely making the statement that angered Crews.
