Melania Trump’s spokeswoman called out rapper T.I. for his “disgusting” music video that featured the first lady as a stripper dancing atop the Resolute desk in the Oval Office.
Stephanie Grisham, spokeswoman for First Lady Melania Trump, called for a boycott of T.I.’s music on Sunday.
The 1 minute video clip shows T.I. inside the Oval Office, watching as President Trump lifts off on board Chopper One.
A Melania look-a-like walks in wearing Melania’s infamous green “I Really Don’t Care, Do U?” coat.
She drops the coat to reveal she’s wearing nothing underneath. Then she climbs atop the Resolute desk as T.I. smokes a cigar while reclining in the president’s chair.
Together they deface the president’s official portrait with red spray paint.
The depiction of the first lady as a stripper angered Grisham who tweeted: “How is this acceptable? #disgusting #boycottT.I. @Tip”.
T.I. wrote a scathing rebuke of rapper Kanye West who spent part of Thursday at the White House meeting with the president and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
T.I. wrote: “This is the most repulsive, disgraceful, Embarrassing act of desperation & auctioning off of one’s soul to gain power I’ve ever seen.”
The numbers are dismal for T.I.’s 10th studio album, Dime Trap, which debuted at #17 on the sales chart, selling the equivalent of just 9,826 physical albums. The total sales figure in the opening week for streams + albums is 26,915.
Dime Trap is T.I.’s first studio album to debut outside the Top 10 since his 2nd studio album, Trap Muzik, in 2004.
