Line to see Queen lying in state PAUSED for at least 6 hours as mourners face even BIGGER wait

MOURNERS will not be allowed to join the mammoth queue to see the Queen lying in state until at least 4pm this evening.

Brits wanting to pay their respects were told entry into the line had been paused for six hours after it was announced at 10am that Southwark Park – the back of the mega five-mile line – had “reached capacity”.

Crowds have been flocking to London to pay their respects to the late Queen whose body is lying in state at Westminster Hall.

Since Wednesday, thousands of royal fans have been shuffling along the south bank of the Thames for more than 10 hours to get a glimpse of her coffin.

But officials warned today: “Southwark Park has reached capacity. Entry will be paused for at least 6 hours.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience. Please do not attempt to join the queue until it re-opens.”

However mourners desperate to see the Queen before she leaves Westminster Hall on Monday morning refused to give up.

Before long a “queue for the queue” had started in Southwark Park for when main route opens up again later tonight.
