Ryan was removed from a flight by armed police at London City Airport
Do you know who I am? Ryan asked, “Slurring his words and staggering around.”
Leah Gordon, a member of the cabin staff, was left in tears when he later used a racial slur, according to evidence presented at Ealing Magistrates’ Court.
Armed police detained Ryan at London City Airport after the attack on July 31 and he spent the night in jail.
Later, he told authorities that as an apology, he would send Ms. Gordon Blue tickets to their upcoming tour.
The singer of All Rise was been convicted responsible for racially aggravating common assault by beating, a crime that carries a potential seven-year sentence.
Ryan was also found guilty of simple assault and acting violently against the cabin personnel.
He previously admitted to consuming alcohol while flying an aeroplane and promised to seek alcohol treatment.
Ms. Gordon testified at Ryan’s trial today that Ryan called her “beautiful” before grasping her wrists and making a “complexion” comment.
Because of how he described my colour, she claimed: “I felt like he was saying I was attractive for a black person.”
Additionally, the flight attendant claimed Ryan walked up to her from behind and requested a kiss from her before he descended off the aircraft.
Added her: “I felt a little humiliated and intimidated, like I wasn’t carrying out my responsibility.
“Being criticised for my skin tone, whether on purpose or not, was just inappropriate and offensive.
