Horror moment ‘Russian’ missile hits Kyiv apartment block as 195 killed including 3 children in Ukraine invasion

TERRIFYING video shows the moment a missile smashes into an apartment block in Kyiv.

With fighting raging in the city, Ukraine has said so far 198 people, including three children, have been now been killed and 1,115 wounded since Russia invaded.

Pictures show a hole covering at least five floors that were blasted into the side.

People take cover as an air-raid siren sounds, near the damaged apartment building.

An apartment building near Kyiv’s Zhuliany airport was struck by a missile earlier on Saturday.

Ukrainian armed service members are seen by damaged vehicles, at the site of fighting with Russian troops.

The battle for Kyiv is continuing with the Russians meeting stiff resistance as they try to battle their way into the city.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has defiantly refused to flee as reports emerge of Russian saboteurs roaming the city.

With dawn breaking, the extent of the damage inflicted on Kyiv became clear as soldiers were seen next to the charred remains on vehicles in the city’s roads.

Initial reports pinned the blame for the tower block missile attack on Russia – a claim the country’s defence ministry later denied.

CCTV from a nearby block shows the moment the missile slammed into the building, near Zhuliany airport, on the outskirts of Kyiv.

Petro Prokopov, a firefighter who was taking part in rescue efforts, said at least six people were injured and 80 people evacuated, as apartments on two floors were gutted by fire.

He said the building on the southwestern edge of Kyiv was hit between the 16th and 21st floors.
