The ruling All Progressives Congress has reacted to the bribery scandal involving one of its party members, Kano state govenor, Umar Ganduje. Recall that over the weekend, a news platform released series of video allegedly showing the governor collecting bribes, in dollars, from some state contractors.
In a chat with Premiumtimes, the party spokesperson, Lanre Issa-Onilu, said the party cannot take any action on the bribery allegations because the matter had been taken to court.
“The matter is in court, the governor has taken the medium to court. We cannot comment on a matter that is already before a law court.” Issa-Onilu said
The state government in a statement released on Sunday, said the videos were doctored and are fake and that they would be filing lawsuits against the media house that released the videos.
